The Webinar Will Be Held By A Mentor With 12 Years Of Experience In IT

Arunabh Saikia

Fullstack developer at Adobe

One of my favorite quotes has inspired how I live my life. It’s from Batman Begins, and goes, “It is not what we are underneath, but what we do that defines us.”

I started my tech journey at Jorhat Engineering College in India in 2011, I then moved to the United States and attended the Illinois Institute of Technology where I got my Masters in Computer Science in 2021.

At the Illinois Institute of Technology, I found my calling in educating others and sharing my passion for coding. I started volunteering at the Student Help Center as well as assisting professors and offering private tutoring sessions.

I am currently employed as a fullstack web developer at Adobe and volunteer with local high school programs to encourage students to pursue a career in tech.

Summer Lynn Wille

Head of Communications

Originally from Portland, Oregon, Summer moved to Oahu, Hawaii in 2019 to attend university at UH Manoa where she got a BA in Communicology. She found herself in her first PM position quite by accident when helping her husband and his real estate company to design and create a new website and establish themselves an online presence. Fueled by the success of the company of her first project, she sought out other such ventures. Passion and purpose are everything, and Summer interviewed and worked with many different companies on her search to find one who’s mission statement was something she could really get behind. Ultimately, her search came to an end when she found and connected with GoIT after her sister-in-law told her about an educational coding company who’s program she had just subscribed to. Summer feels a deep resonance with GoIT as they had made it their goal to empower and educate those interested in tech by equipping them with both technical and interviewing skills they need to be successful in an industry that is very easy to gatekeep.....

Ever since my childhood, computers fascinated me. From basic C programs that printed my name to programs that added numbers, everything seemed so magical. I had programming and data structures courses as part of my Curriculum, and I started learning python on my own, well from youtube, Codecademy, and books. Apart from that, regular discussions with my hostel mates majoring in CS helped me grasp the concepts crucial to the field. My hard work paid off, and I landed a job at IBM. Working as a software engineer at IBM introduced me to a whole new world in Computer Science. To further my skills, I completed a Nanodegree in Machine Learning from Udacity. Somehow, I still felt a lack of core skills: Subjects like operating systems were difficult to comprehend by self-studies alone. I am a highly driven, ambitious individual with a hunger for solving problems, and a strong belief that 'Anything can be learned if the learning process excites you.'....

I’ve been in the tech industry since 2017. Originally a UI/UX developer for QuadraNet, I began to climb the corporate ladder. Today, I am a front end web developer for Cross Comm and have experience under my belt from companies like Walmart and O Crowd. I see programming as an extension of myself, I live and breathe code, it’s my passion to create. Being able to teach others about what I am so passionate about I view as an incredible opportunity and don’t take it lightly. Sharing my passion with others and watching people find themselves coding the same way I did brings me great joy, and I look forward to every opportunity I have to do it.....
